"My name is Hanan William, I did not have a job and I lived with my sister. I heard about Touch of Love loan program and I applied for a loan. I got $400 and the loan helped to open a store that sells things to people in my village. I made a profit and moved into my own home."
"My Name is Ibrahim Samuel Soloman, I am a farmer and I have 10 children. I heard that I can have the loan of $300, so I took that and added another $300 of my own to buy a young camel for $600 from Aswan in the South of Egypt. I fed the camel and it got fatter and he grew up and I took him to Cairo and sold him and made a profit. God helped me to live because of this camel and thank God that things are moving along!"

*Ibrahim now has three camels and his brother has started to help him in his business.

"During the course of my work with Touch of Love I have had the opportunity to witness the amazing changes from year to year. In the village of Al Koum Al Akhdar, it is as if a miracle has happened. Habitat for Humanity and Touch of Love are litererally transforming the face of Egypt one by one. Go see it if you can."

"I grew up in Egypt, but moved to the U.S. after college. I returned to Egypt on a vacation trip in 2001 and was moved by the needs of the people there. I have returned a few times a year since then to work with Touch of Love. The reward is the smiles on the faces of the people as they begin to have hope and see the changes in their lives."
